After 8, 9, and 10 weeks......

Wow, time flies! I didn't even realize how long it had been since I updated my weight loss journal. I do feel it is important to continue though to have a record of this time and my feelings as I move through this journey. So it has been 3 weeks, 3 great weeks. My mom was here visiting for 10 days and I will admit is was definitely a challenge for me to eat well. She is great, I love her more than pretty much anything but we both love to eat great food. We went out several times but I stayed on track. How? Because I told her before she came that I was still doing weight watchers and that I can't eat the way I could before. I prepared her for the healthy meals. She was in now way worried about it but this way when she came she kept me accountable. For some reason when it comes to food....I can continue to eat healthy around my mom...but my dad is somehow a trigger for me. He has never had an issue with weight and eats pretty much anything and everything and rarely gains a pound. Why did I have to get my metabolism from my mother??? So when my dad came to pick up my mom last weekend he wanted to take us out to dinner and I couldn't say no. That wouldn't have been so bad but he wanted to take me to my favorite restaurant....the one I have been avoiding since I started doing ww because I know that I cannot eat healthy there and that it has to be a treat. So after a long internal struggle I agreed that we would go and it was awesome. I had my favorites and for the first time used my flex points for the week. I was sure that I would have a small gain this week.....but I didn't. It was a great reminder that I can still eat things I want and stay on plan (within reason). So here is the update on the past 3 weeks.

Starting weight: 209.6 lbs

Week 1 weight: 205 lbs (-4.6 lbs)
Week 2 weight: 203.8 lbs (-1.2 lbs)
Week 3 weight: 201.2 lbs (-2.6 lbs)
Week 4 weight: 197.6 lbs (-3.6 lbs)
Week 5 weight: 195.8 lbs (-1.8 lbs)
Week 6 weight: 197 lbs (+ 1.2 lbs)
Week 7 weight: 191.6 lbs (-5.4 lbs)
Week 8 weight: 189.8 lbs (-1.8 lbs)
Week 9 weight: 189.2 lbs (-.6 lbs)
Week 10 weight: 186.4 lbs (-2.8 lbs)

Total weight lost: -23.2 lbs

After 10 weeks I have met 58% of my first mini goal (40 lbs by 5/16/2010) and I have completed 30.6% of my total weight loss goal of losing 75.6 lbs by the end of 2010.
